JJ: Hi Effy, thanks for being on the blog. It's great to showcase more camgirls as they are taking over the industry at the moment.
How did you get into the industry?
Effy: Like any job you start doing, you’re doing it for the money. As much as people would like to say they do it for the sheer love of that career, the money is almost always the main reason for working. I finished school with good grades and decided that I wanted to move out and start a life for myself somewhere else. I saved up money from my part time jobs I had in school and set off, having booked time in temporary accommodation I started looking for a job! Not only did I not know what I wanted to do with my life, nowhere was hiring and I was growing more and more stressed, and I didn’t want to rely on my parents.
I have a Tumblr blog and have followed cam model Ashe_Maree ( https://ixnay-on-the-oddk.tumblr.com ) on there for a while, she talks openly and honestly about being a cam model and so I checked out myfreecams a few times and it seemed like fun as well as a good form of income.

What's the best thing about the industry?
Effy: My favourite thing about being a cam model is being your own boss. I love the fact I can choose to work when I want, I love being allowed to be creative and use my cam room for what I want. The freedom is an amazing feeling.
JJ: Job satisfaction guaranteed. I can tell just how much you love your work.
What's the worst thing about the industry?
Effy: The worst thing about the industry is that it is dying, pirated content is so common that people do not feel the need to pay for content and feel so entitled to my body because of that. People need to recognise that; even though porn is so readily available, if the industry is no longer profitable, nobody will continue to make it.
JJ: I couldn't have said it better myself. The industry deserves to be making money because a lot of amazing people work very hard in it.
What's the funniest thing to happen to you whilst working?
Effy: As someone who has creative freedom in their job, lots of things can happen, no two days are the same! You come across people with uncommon fetishes, I remember one guy wanted me to pretend to be a giant and drive a remote controlled car over my body and then stand on it. There is never a dull day.
JJ: That sounds awesome. That is something I would have loved to have seen.
What are you doing for work at the moment?
Effy: As a camgirl money is not always steady, my health isn’t great right now so I am trying to get better in the hopes I can make some more content, I’m also working a part time vanilla job on the side

What's the best thing about sex?

Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
Effy: During my school career I crashed a Spanish class, consequently I spent two summers abroad there on my own, since this I have grown very fond of that country – its culture and especially its food!
JJ: Spain is a great place. Lots of culture and some amazing buildings too. I love it over there.
Tell me one thing about yourself I wouldn't know just by looking at you?
Effy: Just by looking at me I don’t think you’d be able to tell I was a camgirl, I’ve been told I appear very innocent and people are always surprised by the things that come out of my mouth, in that theme I think they’d be very surprised at the things that I put in my vagina.
But if you guys are looking for a secret; I don’t think people would know that I only had my first sexual experience at 18 – compared to everyone else I was a late bloomer, and I’ve also only ever slept with one man!
JJ: Well that one man can strut around knowing he's possibly the luckiest guy alive right now haha.
What's been your biggest achievement in life or work?
Effy: My biggest achievement is probably when I lost my virginity January 2015 (aged 19)It is both personal achievement and a work achievement as I’ve got a medical condition called “vaginismus” which basically means my muscles down there involuntary contract, so essentially my vagina closes real tight and its excruciating and you can’t put anything in. Although I still suffer from it today it is a lot easier than it was.
JJ: Wow. That is something to overcome and is certainly an achievement. Massive hugs for you Hun.
What's the best thing a fan has ever done for you?
Effy: I appreciate any and all of my fans, I appreciate them coming in and talking to me every day, buying my content, treating me like a person. The best thing I think someone has ever done was when my laptop broke he bought me not one, but two new laptops. It was insane.
JJ: Wow, he is obviously a very big fan to treat you like that. Although I'd say you deserve them haha. It's great you appreciate everything your fans do for you. You don't take them for granted.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone getting into the industry?
Effy: If I could give new models advice I’d say to do your research, visit cam models rooms. Sit down and have a plan, and enjoy yourself!!Things to think about before signing on cam for the first time would be:
-Figure out the worth of a token in your currency, and decide what you want to do and what you want to charge
-Look to see what other models are offering and if you would want to offer that too
-Do you want to be a nude/non-nude model?
-Are you going to sell content right away? If so make some first! If you want to wait until you’re more established that’s fine too
-Be aware you will be posted all over the internet and Email myfreecams to get the DMCA button added to your profile so you can have them removed quicker!
JJJ: That's great advice. I think that will be very helpful to new models.
What do you think you'll do once you leave the industry?
Effy: I have recently started designing some lingerie and would love to either get a job as a lingerie designer or start my own company, but I think ill be camming for a while yet!
JJ: That's amazing. You can also model them yourself too which is a double bonus haha.
Finally, what's the weirdest rumour you've heard about yourself?
Effy: I’ve never heard a rumour about myself, whether my friends are just too shy to tell me if there is one is another story!
